Rattrap is a Maximal in the Beast Wars Transformers series who transforms into a rat. He is snarky, sarcastic, a smart-mouth, and gives everyone nicknames be it friend or foe. Bitter enemies with Predacons especially Dinobot who switched sides. Rattrap is not found fighting on the front lines in a battle. Instead he's in the background spying, infiltrating, and sneaking around to gain valuable information, or causing explosive destruction, to win the battle. If Rattrap is seen fighting on the front lines for some reason, he's got his trusted weaponry and skills to protect his furry/metal hide. Rattrap is not afraid to say "we're all gonna die" when things look grim and the Maximals are doomed. Most people reply with "shut up Rattrap". He can be pessimistic most of the times, but that's probably due to the many battles Rattrap's been in or witnessed. Rattrap will do what it takes to survive, and that sometimes lands him in trouble with the other Maximals. Sometimes Rattrap has a conscious (if robots have them) and you just might catch him doing something for the benefit of others, but he wouldn't admit that. It's all an excuse to keep him out of trouble and keep his furry hide alive...yeeeeeeeees.
